Rhino (Single User) + V-Ray for Rhino - Bundle
Chaos Group's products can be licensed either by online licensing or using a hardware lock:
Hardware licensing (requires dongle)
With Chaos Groups hardware licensing system, you will need a USB hardware lock (dongle) in order to run the software. The hardware lock is installed and used locally on each computer, or installed on a dedicated server from which one or more Chaos Group licenses can be distributed to users in a computer network. Multiple licenses can be locked to a single dongle. You can find the hardware lock/dongle here. Please note that the hardware lock is sold separately, please add it to your cart when purchasing a Chaos Group software with hardware licensing option (applies if you do not already have access to a Chaos Group dongle).
Chaos Group's new online licensing option does not require a hardware lock, which means there will be no wait to receive a physical dongle, and licenses can be activated in real-time once an order is processed. Online licensing requires a stable, uninterrupted internet connection. For offline use, you may checkout your license for up to 15 days at a time. The Online licensing option is currently available for new licenses only.
V-Ray is a very popular and feature rich renderer that because of its high render performance reveals a whole new world of possibilities. Chaos Group, the developer of V-Ray, has put a lot of effort into making ray tracing as fast as possible, which has made V-Ray one of the absolute fastest rendering softwares on the market.
Rhino is a powerful 3D design software which uses NURBS geometry to describe any form regardless of size or complexity. Rhino is commonly used for industrial design as well as for example architecture, furniture and jewelry design.
All the right tools for creating complex surfaces and solids
Rhino 5 allows you to model the most complex surfaces you can imagine. The 3D information can then be exported to a variety of formats for further processing in the visualization and manufacturing process. Start off with a sketch, drawing, model or just an idea – Rhino provides all the tools needed to make models of your products. Then they are ready for rendering, animation, design, analysis and manufacturing. Rhino can create, edit, analyze, and translate NURBS curves, surfaces and solids. There are no restrictions in complexity, extent, or size. Rhino also supports polygon meshes and point clouds.
Easy to learn
The software’s interface is easy to understand and has distinct icons. Many features and shortcut keys are logically structured which make Rhino easy to learn. As you get more comfortable with the software you can gradually adapt the look of the interface to make it more streamlined and efficient. Rhino’s interactive built-in manual gives you graphical information, such as short videos and text instructions, for each software feature. This makes Rhino a piece of cake to learn, as all you have to do is to click on an icon and watch a short video or quickly read the instructions provided.
Rhino provides an unmatched workflow efficiency, and by combining Rhino with the extra plugin called Flamingo, alternatively an external rendering software such as V-Ray or Maxwell Render, you will be able to easily produce photorealistic visualizations of your models.
The software supports a variety of different 2D and 3D formats and is widely used to convert 3D files between CAD software and visualization software.
